Mini Vice 3 Point Bend

The TMS mini sample vice is a precision fixture for locating and presenting smaller samples, such as tablets, for fracturing. The fixture is supplied with the Perspex knife edge to enable 3-point bend testing.

Penetration/puncture methods can be performed by using the vice in conjunction with any suitable probe.

The lower fixture consists of two vice jaws fitted to a base plate that can be adjusted, both horizontally and vertically, to firmly grip the sides of regular shaped samples between 1 mm and 40 mm in width. The fine precision alignment provided by this movement enables consistent set-up of test measurements and much greater accuracy in results.

"V" slots in the jaws accommodate table type products and prevent movement during puncture and penetration tests.
